Woo hoo! My concert was a huge success! A sold out house singing silent night with us on steel pan and a choir surrounding the audience?! Wicked! I'm very happy I got through the 2 rehearsals to get there though. And, of course, the first rehearsal night (Thursday) I get a wicked 1-2 headache combo: tension AND hormone. The two together was going to knock me out. I could feel it starting around lunch time while subbing out in Taber. It starts softly, and then your head starts banging, you can't think straight, you feel like you're going to throw up, and bad things happen (like being a grump). |
But, I have my ways around it, including the combo up above! And this combo is a lot easier to take than getting an advil, trying to find time to go find a cup to fill with water, and swallow a pill. This combo you simply put in your purse, even create it in a roller bottle (which I did in this post)

Of course in the last week of my challenge I don't have enough time to write a blog post. ERG.
And today I don't have time either (thank you global drums rehearsal for that haha) BUT one thing I want to share with you is why I chose ningxia for my challenge. It could have been thieves every day, or peace and calming, I don't know. But ningxia was the choice because: - It's high in anti-oxidants - it is easy to take before meals - it gives me energy which - gives me confidence - helps me prevent colds and flu -is just plain yummy! There are so many other reasons, which you can find here. I'm sorry this is such a short blog post, and when I have time I will update this and make it all pretty and give more than just a pinterest link, but for now I need to go get ready for another 3-4 hour long rehearsal!
ningxia red packets, 2 salt shaker size epsom salt bottles with white angelica (for relaxation and increased zen) in one and cypress geranium (for sore muscles and smelling pretty!), 1 small fake pointsetta plant and 1 small tin of Santa's secret davidstea tea! I also added my business card for the person as a 'just in case'.
So excited to announce the winner December 4th, 2014 time: TBA
I started working with my former company January 2014. I was looking for something part time while I was finishing off my last 3 classes and being bitter about not graduating early and being a substitute, or even find a position, early. I was paired up with a family in Magrath and a few weeks later, a position here in Lethbridge.
For a while I was just routine; classes, work, come home, eat, sleep. Repeat. But when I started working with my new Lethbridge family, that changed to classes, young living?, work, young living?, home, young living?, eat, young living?, sleep, young living?
Here are some ideas from my personal stash to share with you:
Yesterday, I purposely didn't post a blog entry. Why? Because there are just some days where you want to take a day off. Yesterday I didn't sub again and ended up crocheting all day until the evening when I hung out with an awesome friend and went shopping, and by the time I got into my bath filled with warm water and epsom salts mixed with cypress, geranium, lavender and oregano, I had remembered 'I didn't do a blog post today.'
So, was I going to climb out of my relaxing bath, blow out my lavender and vanilla candle to write a post? The old me would have. The work-a-holic, do it for the people, me would have. But now, and it's hard, but I'm realising more and more that it's ok to not do dishes even when you have a day off and they are piled. It's ok to watch netflix and crochet all day when there is recycling to do. And I realised it's ok to take a day off from writing my blog post to deep soak in a relaxing bath and just take sometime to myself soaking in a bath and drinking a beer while listening to Tonic on CBC radio 2 (jazz hour). But, while I was soaking and shooing the cats away from the lit candle and my bath, I realised I've never shared my favourite epsom salt creations OR told you it's one of my main ways to give away samples. Everyone loves a bath because they never have time or it's synonymous with relaxing. I go to the dollar store, get 2 or 3 packages of epsom salts, and salt and pepper shakers (at my dollar store, they have 3/$1 and I also buy a package of nice stickers for $1 and label them), put as much epsom salts as I can fit in there, mix with 3-4 drops of the oil they'd like and voila! They can experience the relaxation and health benefits to young living, and they get aromatherapy uses out of it too until they have a bath! Check out below, some of my favourite epsom salt mixes! Have a nice bath, sip some ningxia and have a blast (I haven't actually had ningxia yet with my bath... I might just do that tonight in a champagne glass!!) !
