Today I spent a great day at home crochetting, watching netflix, cleaning and baking cookies! Today I want to share the recipe I made today with you! Also, with 13 more days left in this challenge I just want to remind you that means there is only 13 days left to comment on my blog for the grand prize of a bottle of ningxia red, ningxia nitro and ningxia red packets as well as some other seasonal goodies! My ningxia shot today was grapefruit and thieves in the morning and peppermint before dinner for some pep! And with that little plug, enjoy my video detailing my baking adventure and the recipe! |

Props to those of you who know what my blog title is referencing (what a great comment to post for the contest!) Anyways, today I did a video log showing you the horrid weather here, explaining to you which oils can be digested with ningxia red and a special morning shot with 2 of my favourite oils! (And yes, my evening shot was lemon, grapefruit, topped with cinnamon bark and it was delish! And it helped curb my appetite (which is a tough thing to do when I'm on my time of the month!). Taking control of your health can cost less than a tank of gas, and will last you a lot longer.10/18/2014 After talking to a few friends about how they want the kit but monies, I got to thinking 'I should put together a list of cheaper oils to show how awesome young living is at making sure EVERYONE can afford essential oily goodness'. And now I'm finally getting around to it.
Below, are oils under $15, $20, $25 and my bonus 2 oils under $30 that deserved a special mention. As Christmas rolls around, I wanted to show you in the internet lands, how versatile these oils are and how they work, and not just OOO LOOK cheap stuff!
Whenever people hear the word 'premium' they think of higher fees, more to worry about, and over all more expensive.
What if I told you premium meant cheaper and better? A premium starter kit has the home diffuser, everyday oils kit with 10- 5 ml bottles of those seen above, a 5 ml stress away that can be converted to roll on and samples of thieves, peppermint, lavender, peace and calming and ningxia red. And all of that costs $170 CDN. That's it that's all. If you did the math, the oils ALONE would be $175 for all 5 ml bottles, more if they were 15 ml. The diffuser ALONE is $80 dollars. And you get all of that, and more, for only $170.
Super busy working and planning for my first info session! I also have my first substitute teaching position tomorrow! Up at 630 woo! Here are some sneak peaks for my info session!
Yes, the above is true. But if you put a few drops of the oil in your glass first and then add the oil, the water still tastes like lemons and does wonderful things for your body. It may look a bit 'oily' for lack of a better term but it does taste good. I thought it was kind of weird the first time I tried essential oils in my drinks but it is super cool and yet another way to get the best benefits from your oils. Lemon also helps me be productive. When I need to clean my room (or the house...) I diffuse 3-4 drops of lemon in my room and let it permeate around the house to keep me productive and happy while I clean (I actually like cleaning but I need that kick to get me started, know what I'm saying?). Lemon is also lovely for meditating. If you have trouble, like I do, sticking with a mantra and not having random thoughts (sometimes I have the best thoughts and ideas during meditation when I'm not supposed to even have them) lemon can work as a trigger to help bring you back to the mantra. On my busier days, I diffuse peace and calming and lemon together to help me relax and focus during my meditation or even while I'm relaxing. Lemon is also great on colds. When I was stuck at home with a sore throat, kind of cranky, I did some research and decided to boil some hot water and make myself some essential oils tea. I used 2-3 drops of thieves and 1-2 drops of lemon (I estimate because sometimes there is always a drop that gets out faster than you'd like), mixed it in the hot water and felt so much better after just one sip. I was able to go back to work the next day and didn't even look like I was sick. My throat wasn't as sore, but as we all know, after the worst comes the healing and you kind of lose your voice. I had a job interview for that portion of my sore throat adventures. Let's just say the receptionists had a good laugh at my misfortune. You can also add lemon to your recipes, iced tea, drinks, a bath (mix with epsom salts and voila!) whatever! This oil is 100% lemon; no additives or anything else than lemon. And of course, is 100% organic; another great feature of Young Living. Since they control seed to seal, you can be assured you get the best quality.
