Anxiety is a strange thing. Your body sends a signal to your mind that something is very wrong, but nothing is actually wrong. How does anxiety even do that?! For me, I'm sure I got it from my Nonna, who worries constantly. I've also heard I wear my heart on my sleeve and that doesn't help either. I love caring for people, even more than myself sometimes, but slowly and surely, I'm learning that putting yourself first isn't such a bad thing after all. For one post only, let me invite you into the realm of my anxiety... |

Whenever people hear the word 'premium' they think of higher fees, more to worry about, and over all more expensive.
What if I told you premium meant cheaper and better? A premium starter kit has the home diffuser, everyday oils kit with 10- 5 ml bottles of those seen above, a 5 ml stress away that can be converted to roll on and samples of thieves, peppermint, lavender, peace and calming and ningxia red. And all of that costs $170 CDN. That's it that's all. If you did the math, the oils ALONE would be $175 for all 5 ml bottles, more if they were 15 ml. The diffuser ALONE is $80 dollars. And you get all of that, and more, for only $170. Once you get your starter kit, you get to know which oils you like, which you don't like (if possible!), how to use them, and more. You feel like a chemist mixing one oil with the other, and making the house smell great has never been easier.
But uh oh, a bottle runs out. And it's your favourite bottle! What do you do? Go back to your essential rewards and scope out what you need, and what you want next. When I first got the kit, I didn't think I'd need wholesale shipping, ordering more oils, or even buy anything more than the starter kit. But as the oils helped me more and more, I got increasingly curious and started to look at the rest of the oils. So once you have your kit, which oils should you get next? Also, as you can see, 4 oils above are from the introductory kit. That kit is amazing and well worth upgrading to 15 ml bottles.
Super busy working and planning for my first info session! I also have my first substitute teaching position tomorrow! Up at 630 woo! Here are some sneak peaks for my info session! Today, I didn't feel like typing too much as I'm pretty busy packing for a wedding in Edmonton so I decided to make a video instead. Enjoy!
Personally when I first opened joy, it did not make me joyful. It kind of smelt like fleecy laundry detergent. Which, you know, is nice and all but laundry doesn't make me joyful. It reminds me of the 2 separate flights of stairs I have to take a heaping laundry basket down to the basement from my room, and the 1-2 hour wait I need in between loads. Not so joyful. So I did my research. And I found out joy was a part of a trio used for anxiety. Valor on the back of the neck, joy on the heart, and stress away on the wrists. So I tried that instead of diffusing joy or rubbing it just anywhere on my body (when you're new to the kit, this is a tendency). After a week (anxiety is a tricky thing. You can't really tell until it has been some time) I started feeling more like me, more relaxed, and increasingly able to think more in the present than in the past or future. Eventually, joy became one of my go-to oils for happiness because the more I used it for anxiety, the more I appreciate it for what it was and it's benefits. It is also good as a perfume, great to diffuse and lift up the mood of the bedroom, and it's just a great refresher. Another cool thing about joy is it is this months promo for the Canadian virtual office! If you spend 190 PV (points value) on young living products (that's about $200 dollars) you get joy FREE. You get a 15ml bottle valued at about $40 dollars FREE. And young living does promos like this every month! Also, the US and Canadian promos are different, so if you like both, you can get both by purchasing the minimum PV. I don't know about you but I like the word free.
Valor (which sadly isn't printed as 'Valour' in Canada as most Canadians would spell it) was one of the bottles I was a bit 'meh' about when I first got my premium starter kit. I didn't know anything about it, it smelled pretty strong and it was blue. From my understanding, shouldn't these things be clear??? But, not only is it awesome because it is blue (tardis blue, and that's rad), but because it is a fine example of Young Livings care for quality control. In the Canadian store, there is a limit of ONE 15ml bottle per order. ONLY ONE. This isn't because they're being mean, it's because the spruce crop for spruce essential oil didn't quite make the cut for Young Living. Spruce is one of the main ingredients in this fantastic blend but instead of using what they deemed to be 'less than ideal', they decided to use only what was good and make their customers got the best bang for their buck. How often do we hear of stores doing stuff like that (please refer to produce sections of grocery stores galore to see how well they control quality over quantity)? I do wish though that Young Living would have sold the 'not so great' Valor for a fraction of the price because I would still buy it.
