Do you see why I need a nitro most Thursdays? For the past 3 or 4 Thursdays, it's been like this (except Taber might have been Raymond instead). And sadly, if this is considered a cheat day or a lack of following protocol day, that was today. I only had time for 1 shot and 1 tube of nitro.
Not only was I thankful for ningxia red keeping my energy going and helping me forget about my stomach, it helped me get through a day of
- Being switched from classroom to classroom at the last minute and feeling incredibly disposable.
- Kids have nervous breakdowns because they missed their family.
- Certain kids not being respectful enough at the remembrance day assembly and me getting super steamed (eventually the principal intervened and man, she is good.)
- And having 15 minutes to eat my lunch before covering supervision AGAIN and eating as much of my quinoa minestrone soup before having to go watch the kidlets run around outside.
And throughout all of this, even though I wasn't the happiest of campers, I still had the energy to smile about it and keep going. Before, when I was in my practicums, by lunch I had lost a lot of my energy and felt like a grump. Now, in situations much more difficult than back then, I still had the mental clarity, patience and energy to keep going. I'm quite proud of myself, and proud of my ningxia for giving me that extra boost.
I apologize that the bulk of this was ranting, and that it wasn't posted until 730 am MST the next day, but like the title says, better late than never.
