If I'm lucky, I snag a substitute position in one district online. If I'm not, I get called the day of and am expected to be there in 30 minutes or less.
Sounds kind of like a pizza delivery!
On days that catch me off guard or don't, while I'm rushing to get my lunch, dress nicely, eat breakfast all before a certain time, I never forget my oils that I know will get me through the day.
First stretch of the day: I'm usually subbing in an elementary classroom (whenever people see me and I tell them I'm a teacher they say 'Elementary right? You just look like an elementary teacher!') with about 20-30 kids. I love subbing and meeting new students, schools, principals and families. I absolutely love it.
And then lunch arrives and my brain fires 'you have to do this after school' and 'don't remember you still have to go to your part time job after this too!' and on Thursdays 'don't forget work AND global drums. You won't be in bed until 10. Na na na na boo boo.'
This could go 1 of 2 ways. I either go with the flow and make it to the end of the day or, the more likely thing, is panic and get into a frenzy. When that happens, the oils step in. Firstly, I put stress away on my wrists. The roller ball calms me down, maybe it's the way it feels on my wrist. Then I smell my wrists. It's that easy. Only one application spot that lasts for a few hours. I inhale, feeling my body slow down with each breath of stress away. Then, as a precaution, I put peace and calming on my chest and I breathe deeply again. Breathing deeply is one of the greatest resets for your body and in combination with essential oils, you can't go wrong.
Lastly, peppermint sticks with me the entire day. After lunch I put a drop in my palm, rub my hands together and inhale like crazy (be careful the first time you do this. It packs a mighty punch!). This gives my body energy, renews me, and gets me ready for the next few hours. If I have a tension headache, I put a peppermint on the back of my neck. If I have the sniffles from being run down, I put a bit on my nose. Peppermint works wonders!
Now, on days where I substitute (especially out of town which is usually a 30 minute drive), work right after, and then global drums, I really need a pick me up. It's a long day going from 630am -10pm with no breaks at home, and the only down time you get is when you drive from place to place. On days like this, I have my secret weapon first thing in the morning: Ningxia Nitro (cue mission impossible theme!)

I mixed 60 ml of ningxia red (one sample pack because that's all I have haha) and one tube of ningxia nitro. I instantly felt energized and crazily enough I lasted the entire day without feeling fatigued, restless, or having an anxiety attack.
