Wow! Day 30 already?! I can't believe it! I want to thank each and every one of you who were with me and supported me on this fantastic journey. I managed to have my ningxia 2x daily, 1 oz each time, with varying oils added. I feel happier, healthier, more energetic and overall more amazing than ever. Today's post is going to lead you through my Young Living passion: A day in the life of THIS oiler, is a blog post about today (Dec 3rd) and how Young Living is a huge part of my life now (and I wouldn't have it any other way). Just a side note, I substitute taught in a particularly tough Grade 1 class today, so some of the oils used aren't necessarily used in such a capacity on any other day. |
rise and shine!Good morning! It's 7 am on a beautiful Wednesday in December. I'm substitute teaching at one of my favourite schools in a Grade 1 classroom today! I wake up and put 1 drop of Progessence Phyto plus on the insides of my wrist. I then go brush my teeth with Thieves dentarome Ultra toothpaste, wash my hands with Valor bar soap, and get dressed. I brush my hair, kiss my boyfriend good bye because he is staying in bed, and head down stairs. |
I felt a but sniffley this morning so I put eucalyptus radiata on my nose and a drop of thieves under my tongue. A lot of the science behind my essential oil usage is about prevention, not just medicating when I get sick. Young Living essential oils are safe to use all the time, and it's not like I'm taking 5 tylenol to 'prevent' a headache later. That's called an overdose.
Endoflex goes on my throat to aid my thyroid (I've always suspected I've had thyroid problems and here is my solution, even when doctors say I am fine! My zyto scan always recommends something for thyroid.) and the vitaflex points on my ankles.
A drop of white angelica goes in my left palm, rubbed around with both hands, and brushed over my head to fend of negative energy and to start the day right. This is a procedure Gary Young does when he starts his day.
Geranium on the chest for relaxtion and motivation, valor on the back of the neck for alignment and courage, and joy over the heart for happiness. This is my newest anxiety-be-gone trio.
En-er-gee on my temples, because this Grade 1 class is energetic!
And lastly, 1 shot of ningxia red before I have cereal for breakfast, start the kettle for hot water, and open up day 3 in my tea advent calender from Davidstea (It was milk oolong! A favourite of mine!!)
During work
I love substitute teaching! It is super rewarding having kids remember you, have fun, and give you more experience in the classroom. Even if one the students was being defiant, I still learned a lot from the situation. ... Doesn't mean I wasn't stressed though. I used stress away a lot today. Not only for the obvious reason, but it smells soooo good. And on days I'm stressed, it smells better than anything. I applied to my wrists once an hour, and 1 hour before the end of the day I applied it to wrists, back of neck and collarbone. |
My DIY happy roll on (bergamot, orange and joy) was applied to my chest around lunch time to get me going through the day.
Thieves spray is GREAT when your voice is starting to go or get tired. One spray into my mouth around first recess worked wonders.
Thieves sanitizer... Grade 1's, many students and people, self explanatory. I used it whenever I felt the need.
And slique essence: I put a drop on my tongue after lunch to curve sugar cravings and round out my wonderful lunch of quinoa italian soup!
Home time!
If my diffuser was working (which it isn't, but I'm getting a new one sent soon!), these were the 2 combinations I would be feeling. Citrus fresh + elemi: the citrus and incense smells together really motivate me to do things (like this blog!). I would have diffused this to get started. Geranium + valor: the ultimate relax for me. Geranium lifts up my mood and valor mellows me out and makes me happy. |
Dinner: before and after
Here is my second ningxia shot of the day! I take this shot before dinner time. After dinner, I take Life 5. Life 5 is a pro-biotic supplement and it says on the label to take it after dinner. It is really great, but I gotta say, I've gotten too used to using only my oils and ningxia! Swallowing a pill that large was (And still is) difficult! I've never been a fan of swallowing pills in the first place any ways. |
Nighty night oilers!
After a long day like today, I may soak in some epsom salts with my favourite oils (like geranium and valor or peppermint). I spray my sheets with my peace and calming linen spray (distilled water, 10 drops P&C, 1 tsp vodka and 10 drops emulsifier) and then I get to business. RC and Thieves were layered on my feet to help my immune system fight whatever buys I got. Peace and calming goes on my chest to help |
Valor on the back of the neck to help my back align.
Release on my sides to help me move past this tough day.
Cedarwood on my forehead to help myself have good dreams and sleep well.
White Angelica, the same as the morning (1 drop in left palm, rub hands, brush hair and heart).
Melrose and Elemi on my chin to avoid this stupid zit.
And digize on my stomach because dinner didn't agree with me so much.
I also brush my teeth with Thieves dentrarome ultra toothpaste again.
And there you have it! A day in the life of THIS oiler!! I hope this gives you some idea of A) how much Young Living has influenced my life and how much I trust and love this products and B) how to use Young Living in YOUR life! They have changed my life for the better and I hope you get serious about your well being and think about Young Living.
ps. tomorrow I announce the winner of my 30 day blog comment challenge!!! Today is the last day to comment and be entered for a prize (but by all means please comment when this is done too!)
