I was so excited to be booked for a FULL week of subbing, especially because I knew about the dates well before the week and wasn't asked last minute. I was pumped; keeping myself healthy, in shape and happy. And then Sunday evening I got a tickle in my throat. On Monday... I lost half of my voice. On Tuesday, I lost the ability to breathe properly thanks to my sinuses clogging up. Yep, you guessed it, I got a sinus cold the week of a full week of subbing. How did I survive? |
When I could feel my sinuses getting ready (there was no way of preventing this cold, my body was too run down and there is no amount of theives that could have helped me at this point), I started diffusing RC (shown above ). This amazing blend of four kinds of eucalyptus, myrtle, marjoram, pine, cypress, lavender, spruce and peppermint helps respiratory problems and clears out sinuses. Once my cold was in full swing I diffused RC as soon as I got home, during any naps I was able to take, and when I went to sleep.
I also applied to my sinuses and diffused eucalyptus globulus, which added a bit of extra kick to help my sinuses unplug and help me breathe easier. I applied RC and eucalyptus globulus on my cheek bones, nose and forehead before driving out to the schools (Monday Tuesday was a 45 minute drive to that school and Wednesday-Friday was a 30 minute drive there by the way)
