I'm such a horrible person! After my day or two of feeling drained and tired and emotionally done, I headed to Calgary on a road trip with my boyfriend. Of course I don't have ningxia packets and I lost my hello kitty thermos (which has now been found...) so I had no way of bringing any to Calgary with me. And will-call isn't even OPEN on the weekends (I hope they consider doing this soon!! Even Saturday 10-2 would be amazing!). SO this weekend, I relied on my oils and used my must haves for travelling, which is what I will base my post on today. Life happens. Travelling happens. Your receiver breaks and the nearest place that can fix it under warranty is Cochrane happens. Driving in the dark since it's Winter now happens. Here are my must have's for lifes 'happens'. |
So I thought 'what are the most likely things to happen to me?"
- Moodiness
- Anxiety attack
- Hormone Headache
2 out of 3 happened so I planned well. Let's start from left bottom and around.
Progessence phyto plus: This is part of my routine. I put 1 drop on the inside of my elbow in the morning. Sometimes when I'm on my period I do it at night too to help regulate myself and my moods.
Stress away: Exactly what the name of the oils blend is. When I drive at night, in winter, drive to a place I haven't been before, whatever, I get stressed. Stress leads to anxiety. Anxiety leads to a panic attack. Need I say more? I roll stress away on my wrists and if I'm having an anxiety attack (which I did, twice) I use stress away on the wrists, peace and calming on my chest and valor on the neck.
'Pain go away' blend: in the middle there is my own home made blend for pain. I wrote a post about it a few days ago but it consists of basil, frankincense, panaway, wintergreen, peppermint and valor. It works wonders! Especially when I get a hormone headache at 2 pm after subbing, have to drive with it in full force, and try to sleep when your head is pounding from unbalanced hormones after that time of the month.
Peace and calming: as mentioned above, I use it for anxiety. I also use it for night panic attack, which are worse than day panic attacks. You wake up, heart thumping, tight chest, and you think you're going to have a heart attack. You sit up, very groggily, take in breaths and try to calm down. For me I put peace and calming on my chest ( I did 3 drops last night because that was nuts), took my pulse to calm down and meditate, and went back to sleep in 15 minutes. That may seems like a while but for me, it's a new record.
Valor: as mentioned above, I use it mainly for anxiety but I also use it to help myself wake up in the morning. I put 1-2 drops on the back of my neck to help align my spine and to ease tensions from the night prior. Works like a charm!
Jade Lemon: Jade lemon can be substituted by any citrus oil, but jade lemon was the oil of choice this road trip for my water! I like to have water by me when I drive and to give it that extra health boost, I add lemon, thieves, grapefruit, or something to that effect! Lately I've been digging Jade Lemon.
As soon as I got home today, I took a shot of ningxia and felt much better. Maybe the lack of ningxia made me anxious, or the fact that many of my family members are ill, some are taking a trip and not getting along. Whatever the reason for my anxiety, I feel much better now and am so grateful for young living helping me find natural ways to get rid of something that feels so un-natural.
