Do you see why I need a nitro most Thursdays? For the past 3 or 4 Thursdays, it's been like this (except Taber might have been Raymond instead). And sadly, if this is considered a cheat day or a lack of following protocol day, that was today. I only had time for 1 shot and 1 tube of nitro.
Man oh man, Thursdays are always a big reminder for me that I love my cats, I love my boyfriend, and I love my bed. Waking up at 630 am (and then pushing it to 7 am), driving for 45 minutes to Taber, being a floater and being pulled around like a rubber band, not having time for my most favourite store the bargain shop in Coaldale (on the way back to Lethbridge) and having to eat a fast food dinner at 4 pm in my car, working with a family for 2 hours and then racing to the University to set up my steel pan and rehearse with global drums.

Happy V for Vendetta day! I only remembered this because my boyfriend is hosting a movie night at our house and does this every year (I of course forget and our house is a mess).
SO Day 2. Keeping strong. 2 shots in the morning but... with a twist. I felt like I was coming down with something fierce so I decided to add a drop of thieves to each shot. I'm going to call this the 'spicy shot' but man oh man, you can taste that burn! Some things I've noticed: - More energy to stay focused. Not just on driving and making it through the day, but I've been subbing both days since this challenge started and I've felt concentrated on the kids, the task, circulating, a lot more than I used to be. And my meeting yesterday? Didn't seem as boring as I thought it would (having a shot of ningxia half way through helped too). - Better sleep. The past few nights have been rough, especially if my boyfriend is tossing and turning. But last night I slept soundly on my boyfriends pillow before he came to bed (I didn't even notice!), and then I was out like a light until my usual 5am pee break (even that seems to be regulating itself a little bit better, I'm sure I could have waited until 6 for it to be a real big deal). - And lastly, more excitement in my life. Today during morning staff prayer, someone noted that we as adults don't get excited for stuff anymore where as children, everything is a new adventure! With this challenge, I get excited to wake up now (we will see how that works out tomorrow when I need to be out of the house by 715 to drive to Taber), I get excited to come home after working 2 jobs and have some ningxia before dinner, I get excited just being in the world. It feels like having ningxia and this challenges sheds new light on life. And for me, a highly anxious person who freaks out each and every day, this is a blessing. Tomorrow, I will be mixing my morning 2 shots together and adding ningxia nitro into it because I am out of the house from 715am to 930 pm (Subbing in Taber, working with one of my families for the second last time before my 2 weeks are up from my notice, and then global drums. Sheesh, just writing it makes me tired). I hope some of you are thinking of entering my draw and thinking about posting a comment or two on a blog post. It doesn't even have to be a post from the challenge. My blog has ZERO comments so it should be easy enough to keep track of them. The more comments you post, the more chances you have to win my special prize (which right now, includes some epsom salts mixed with young living oils that are and ARE NOT in the intro kit. If you have any idea for a prize, post a comment or contact me!) |
