Joy to the fishes in the deep blue sea. Joy to you and me! Such a catchy song. Well, today is a rainy day here in Lethbridge. I personally like the rain, but when it messes up my plans, then I get a bit gloomy. And there are other rainy days where it is just hard to get out of that funk. Well not any more. Joy is a blend of: bergamot, lemon, palmarosa, ylang ylang, mandarin, rose, geranium, jasmine, Roman chamomile, coriander. Don't all of those sound yummy?? |
So I did my research. And I found out joy was a part of a trio used for anxiety. Valor on the back of the neck, joy on the heart, and stress away on the wrists. So I tried that instead of diffusing joy or rubbing it just anywhere on my body (when you're new to the kit, this is a tendency). After a week (anxiety is a tricky thing. You can't really tell until it has been some time) I started feeling more like me, more relaxed, and increasingly able to think more in the present than in the past or future. Eventually, joy became one of my go-to oils for happiness because the more I used it for anxiety, the more I appreciate it for what it was and it's benefits. It is also good as a perfume, great to diffuse and lift up the mood of the bedroom, and it's just a great refresher.
Another cool thing about joy is it is this months promo for the Canadian virtual office! If you spend 190 PV (points value) on young living products (that's about $200 dollars) you get joy FREE. You get a 15ml bottle valued at about $40 dollars FREE. And young living does promos like this every month! Also, the US and Canadian promos are different, so if you like both, you can get both by purchasing the minimum PV. I don't know about you but I like the word free.
Now for a tidbit: all of the pictures you see on my blog were done by me and set up with my own props. I have a bunch of fun finding props around my house to use for these shoots! I use my iphone 5 to photograph them, edit them with moldiv photo editor for iphone and ipad, and then upload them to my computer via dropbox. I seriously love photography and this blog has given me a chance to get into it again! If you'd like to use my pictures please let me know! |
