I had no idea there would be such an amazing community supporting me when I decided to embark upon my young living journey. When my up line and I met, she added me to many groups about business building, testimonials, and just excitement about the oils. I connected with her up lines and many other young living enthusiasts and started creating a little community of my own. This post isn't very long because the picture about says it all: how can I help change your life? Super busy working and planning for my first info session! I also have my first substitute teaching position tomorrow! Up at 630 woo! Here are some sneak peaks for my info session!
Pretty much, this book reaffirms that there is indeed an oil for that.
I'm hosting my first information session in a week from today (SO EXCITING!) and last night I did some prep work to make sure everyone who comes gets the most out of their visit. I've tagged every essential oil in the premium starter kit and a few extra that I personally own. I've highlighted some cool facts (for example: did you know that is would take 5000 pound of rose petals to produce 1 kilo or 2.2 pounds of rose oil? Holy! I'd love to see the garden that produces that.), made some mini speeches, and will be cleaning my house today! It's lay out is quite nice too. When you look at the oils, it gives you fancy facts, its chemical make up, historical data, then it gets into medicinal properties and the uses and applications. For the singles (I like this part a lot), it says which blends it is in. Right now I'm looking at Neroli (which is an expensive oil) and it is found in Acceptance, Awaken, Humility (in my next ER shipment which should be here this week. So excited!), Inner Child, Live with Passion, Oola grow and present time. The way I see this is: if you like the blend, try to get the single parts of the blend because they will be just as beneficial. And if you don't like the blend, then you're fine. Blends are typically less expensive than some of the singles. But this is just how I look at it. Now let's end this off nice and geeky:
Now let's get a little geeky. As you may have noticed on the about page and above, there is this strange paper thing that resembles me. It's called a foldable me! You can customise a foldable paper to look like you. Click the link above to check out the website. My boyfriend got these for us for our first valentines day together (he is kind of a joker). He then got us Christmas versions of ourselves and I look like a little elf. They are pretty cute and I will probably be using them for a lot of my pictures for this blog.
Now, i'm going to go get some frankincense, rub it on my temples and stop this headache before it starts because it is starting to snow outside... sigh. The first snow of the season. Ciao for now! I'm not a fan of anything 'teeth'. Dentist, brushing my teeth, flossing, mouthwash, braces, retainers, even whiteners. Not. a. fan. My oral health is a tough one; I either conveniently "forget" to brush me teeth, never floss, or only use mouth wash to make myself feel less guilty for not doing any of the above. Dentist trips always hurt, and they always tell me the same thing: floss more. Well, I'm hoping all of that changes.
Today, I didn't feel like typing too much as I'm pretty busy packing for a wedding in Edmonton so I decided to make a video instead. Enjoy!
And it was terrifying. My panic attacks came back in full force, my body kept trying to get me to sleep in when I had to get up (especially when the child's routine changed and I had to be there for 830 or worse, 745), and I felt like I was distancing those around me because I was just a ball of emotion. In comes Young Living. I gravitated to this oil right away when I opened up the starter kit. When you order the premium starter kit you get the diffuser, everyday essential oils (10 5-ml bottles) and the starter kit which comes with samples of ningxia ningxia, thieves, peace and calming, peppermint and lavender, and a 5ml bottle of stress away with convertible roll on lid. I smelled it, I rubbed it all over my body, I wondered where it had been all of my life. You know that saying 'if stress made you lose weight, I'd be a supermodel?' Well, if that were true, I'd probably be in the hospital because I would be paper thin. I don't do stress well. Stress away is a blend of vanilla, lime, copabia, cedarwood, ocotea, and lavender. It can be diffused to help stress away your room, or it can be applied topically. When I first applied this it went on my wrists. I'd look strange in public smelling my wrists, but if it got to that point, I would not care. I was stressed enough already. Some days I will put it on the back of my neck so that I can smell it a bit easier too. Stress away is also a key part of the 'anxiety trio' which consists of valour on the back of the neck, joy over the heart, and stress away over the wrists. And, as are most of the oils in the starter kit, it is in my diy sleep cream (a lot of oils I know, but it works!) |
